How sit and gos work

Sit-n-gos’, or STTS are basically a single tournament that starts once the prescribed number of players register. For example, if the table is for 9 players, then once 9 players register, the tournament starts and ends once a single player has all the chips.

There are different variations of STTS, including shorthanded, turbo and super turbo. For the Specialists out there, they also have heads up matches.

These games offer players a good amount of volume since they end quickly. Some players out there will play up to 20 or even 30 at a time.

The blinds go up as would in a normal MTT. Meaning, that every so often depending on the structure of that given game, the blinds will increase. Depending on the structure, the blinds may increase every 3 minutes or slower at 10 minutes.

If you find yourself short on time and are trying to play a tournament, try out one of the many sit and n go, you may find yourself a new avenue to profit from.
